Khyzyl Saleem’s Hyundai Ioniq 5 N concept reimagines the electric car as a combustion-powered Group B machine, commissioned by Hyundai USA and built entirely in pixels. Modeled in 3ds Max and Corona, its boxed fenders frame wide tires, while buttresses connect the rear arches to the C-pillars in a nod to the Lancia Delta S4. Hood-mounted auxiliary lamps sit above a carbon splitter; Lexan windows and a visible roll cage carry the rally treatment into the cabin. The proposed mechanical overhaul would replace the donor’s 641-horsepower electric drivetrain with a mid-mounted, turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four from Hyundai’s i20 N Rally1 racer, making roughly 370 horsepower. Saleem rendered a matte black version with a large rear wing, a bronze homologation-style street car, and a wingless “Birmingham spec.” Even the imagined powertrain remains open to revision: Saleem’s backup plan is a rotary.
