Distracted Builder’s Art Deco Hotel translates Miami’s Ocean Drive architecture into a 2,600-piece LEGO Ideas proposal that pays tribute to the retired Paradisa theme. The designer drew on visits to Miami, pairing turquoise trim with a pink HOTEL marquee beneath the central tower. A vertical PARADISA sign runs down that tower, naming the LEGO line that ran from 1992 to 1997 and echoing Ocean Drive’s stacked hotel lettering. The facade folds open to reveal a lobby with a reception desk and elevator, guest rooms furnished with beds and cabinets, and bathrooms fitted with sinks and showers. A staircase leads to the rooftop pool and bar, where a minifigure sunbathes with a cocktail. Palm trees and a scooter parked out front complete the street setting. Behind the hotel’s architectural exterior is a sequence of spaces for play, from check-in to the roof.
