Porsche Mission S Concept

A mid-engine concept previewing a permanent flagship line above the 911, with an analog cockpit and combustion or hybrid possibilities.

Porsche’s Mission S previews a permanent mid-engine model line above the 911, a departure from the limited production runs of the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder. Beneath the Firn White Metallic body sits a new super sports car architecture designed to accommodate combustion or hybrid power, with PDK or manual transmissions. The body draws from several chapters of Porsche design: a GT1-derived flat nose, a 959-influenced roofline beneath an active wing, and wheels that reinterpret the 928’s dial pattern. A 917-style cooling fan sits atop the engine cover. Inside, five round instruments sit behind the wheel, with an analog tachometer that physically moves toward the driver in sportier modes. There’s no center touchscreen. Navigation lives on a phone held by a retractable MagSafe dock, while comfort controls use push-pull switches. The key slots in to the left of the wheel, preserving a familiar Porsche ritual.
