1976 Triumph TR6
Mimosa paint, Chestnut vinyl, and a carbureted straight-six in a Wisconsin-delivered British roadster.
This 1976 Triumph TR6 was first sold by P.J. Kaufman Co. in Thiensville, Wisconsin, its initial delivery documented by the surviving window sticker. Mimosa paint pairs with Chestnut vinyl bucket seats beneath a replacement black Roadster Factory soft top. The 2.5-liter inline-six breathes through dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, with factory ratings of 101 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. A four-speed manual routes that output to the rear wheels. Silver 15-inch steel wheels carry polished trim rings and older Michelin Redline tires; braking comes from front discs and rear drums. Rubber bumper overriders frame the body, with a chrome luggage rack at the rear. Inside, a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel faces a 140-mph speedometer and tachometer, and the five-digit odometer reads 28k miles. Coco mats and an AM/FM push-button radio round out the cabin. Service records accompany the car, adding a maintenance paper trail to the record of its arrival at a Wisconsin dealership.
